  1. Wow! Some of them look better but some...much much worse! Pretty cool in general to see people aging.

Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie, and Jon Bon Jovi still look pretty good to me, in an older-guy kind of way, of course. And some of the women -- notably Pat Benetar -- look better now. But ... yeah, lots of them have not held up as well. Of course some, like Keith Richards, are in the "Still alive? Really???" category ...

Steve Perry looks way better than his "now" picture. He looks closer to his before picture but a little older. He looks good. I see him almost every week at the Giants games.

Linda Rondstadt was SMOKIN' hot back in the day, and a really sexy voice, too.

Some people should be exempt from the aging process.

    Damn.

  12. Good analogy of Meat Loaf. Just think. A picture of him before he was in the oven, and a picture of him when he got out of the oven. You can tell he is completely loafed.

  13. I got to wondering, "where's Willie (Nelson)?" Then it hit me: about the only thing that's changed is the color & length of his hair.

No point putting up a picture of Lemmy. The guy hasn't changed a bit in thirty-odd years.

  15. Missing the lead singer of Motely Crue's name, and all of their (then & now) ages of the picture(s) for reference. I mean, seriously, who of any of us would look GOOD, snapped by the paparazzi at 70? Just to put things in perspective, you know...

You ought to add a set of photos of Dave Gilmour from Pink Floyd. He looks way different nowadays. James Taylor, too.

  28. Good Lord, what the hell happened to Patti Smith? She looked so fresh-faced in the before picture -- like a teenager, actually -- but now she kinda looks like the Crypt Keeper. Man, she should've taken a dip in the same waters Joan Jett and Cherie Currie dipped into -- they look just ten years older than their before pics, and those before pics date to when they were teenagers!! Rather impressed James Hetfield looks so good for his age and all the beer he's consumed. Maybe he needs to let people in on what brand(s) he prefers and those can be marketed as youth elixirs. Tom Petty and Debbie Harry have also aged rather nicely. Time has been very, very good to Charlie Watts -- before he looked kinda goofy, but now he looks very distinguished. But he was always the cleanest-living Stone and it's reaping major benefits now. OTOH, I'm shocked by how cute the young Keith Richards is -- Mick Jagger was always kinda fugly, but Keef really, really, really took a tumble. Also depressed by how Robert Plant looks today, since I thought he was a real cutie in the '70s. He needs to shave off that beard STAT. And consult with Stevie Nicks's plastic surgeon, because (s)he did a fantastic job on her. And clearly weight loss has meant the world to Meat Loaf, who looks way better now than he did in the '70s.

I'm not bothered by the Wilson sisters' ageing process because they don't look that bad for their age. Same goes for Steve Perry, Sting, and Bruce Dickinson. And even though I was startled by the aged Neil Young, he's aged better than his former bandmate David Crosby, and I'm also not bothered by either of them because of all the great music CSNY have contributed to the world of rock music. Oh, and I really, really, really wish God could take away 20 years from Grace Slick's countenance (since she looks HORRIBLE these days) and throw them onto Bono, because Slick's a much more beautiful person on the inside than Bono could ever be. Ditto for Joe Elliott/Jon Bon Jovi (plus Def Leppard were always FAR better than Bon Jovi). Oh, and when I was a teenager I was constantly told I looked just like the young Linda Ronstadt. ALL THE TIME. Now I see that the current Linda resembled the way I looked when I was at my heaviest. I've lost about 65 pounds since then, thank goodness, so I might be on my way back to looking like -- well, not the Linda of the Stone Ponys days, but maybe the mid '70s, touring-with-The-Eagles Linda.

  29. This is an incredible account. Two questions. What diet regiment is Iggy Pop following? and Have they ever bestowed a knighthood on Robert Plant?

How interesting that the hideous looking ones are the ones who've gone down the plastic surgery route. Most of them look how they should for people their age, not like botoxed and lifted zombies. Ted Nugent is way more handsome now!

OMGosh, I'm so forlorn(ed)! Steven Perry has been my "wish date" forever! His teeth are so icky now! What happened?
